Job Description

To manage the database team including the Oracle ERP to provide 24x7 support to the customers
* Should have necessary skillsets to establish Center of Excellence for Database Support
* Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle , MS Sqlserver and Mysql databases server software and related products
* Evaluate Oracle features and Oracle related products
* Database design and implementation, setting up and managing Standby databases, Mysql replication
* Implement and maintain database security
* Perform general technical trouble shooting (Trouble ticket handling)
* Provide support to development teams (pre-launch review/tuning)
* Project planning at both the technical and executive levels with internal and external customers
* Excellent knowledge and handson in Backup and Disaster Recovery experience
* advanced knowledge of SQL
* experience using RMAN, OEM, Statspack, Third - party supplied tools like DBArtisan, BMC Patrol etc.,
* Excellent knowledge on database design and development, RDBMS skills and architecture
* experience in monitoring and maintaining Production OLTP and Datawarehousing systems.
* Minimum 9 yrs experience in managing databases - Oracle 8/8i/9i/10g , Oracle Apps (ERP) 11.x/11.5.10.x , Mysql 4.x, 5.x , Postgresql, MS SQL Server
* experience in a team management ( minimum of 10+ )
* Oracle skills: RAC, materialized view replication, Data guard/Data broker, high availability clustering
* Oracle certifications: Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Oracle Certified Master (OCM)
* Experience in a managed service provider (MSP)
